Ingredients
- 1 lb beef strips (flank steak or sirloin)
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free option)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the beef strips with cornstarch until well-coated.
- Combine soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl; mix well.
- Spread the beef in a single layer on a sheet pan, then drizzle half of the sauce over the meat.
- Add broccoli florets to the pan, drizzle with olive oil, and toss everything together.
- Roast in the oven for about 10 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Drizzle the remaining sauce over the beef and broccoli before serving, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate the beef for at least 15 minutes before cooking. Use high-quality soy sauce for best results.
