Description

A comforting and creamy ground beef stroganoff that combines tender beef, savory mushrooms, and rich flavors, making it perfect for cozy nights or impressing guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (white or cremini)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  2. Increase the heat slightly, then add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until browned.
  3. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, then add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream, mixing until everything is well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook your egg noodles or rice according to package instructions, then serve the stroganoff over the top.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt. Prep all ingredients before starting to streamline the cooking process.
