Description

Deliciously crispy chicken skewers with a sweet and spicy bang bang sauce, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (soaked in water if using wooden ones)
  • For the bang bang sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • Sriracha or another hot sauce to taste
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces, olive oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes; longer is better.
  2. Thread the skewers: Once marinated, thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers, ensuring they are snug but not too tight.
  3. Air fry the skewers: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the skewers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Make the bang bang sauce: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and lime juice until smooth.
  5. Serve: Once cooked, serve the skewers hot with a generous drizzle of the bang bang sauce or as a dip on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours beforehand. Soaking wooden skewers helps prevent burning.
