Ingredients
- Wonton wrappers
- Ground chicken or shredded chicken
- Green onions, chopped
- Cream cheese
- Shredded cheese (Monterey Jack or cheddar)
- Soy sauce
- Garlic, minced
- Oil for frying or baking
- Optional toppings: salsa, avocado, sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking. If frying, heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the ground chicken in the skillet until browned. Add garlic and soy sauce, cooking until fragrant.
- Remove from heat, then mix in green onions, cream cheese, and shredded cheese until well combined.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center. Fold over diagonally and seal the edges with water.
- If baking, brush with oil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden. For frying, gently place in hot oil and fry until crispy and browned.
- Serve hot, garnished with your choice of toppings.
Notes
These tacos are best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
