Description

A comforting dish that combines tender chicken with vibrant citrus flavors, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1/2 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by placing the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low heat for 4 hours.
  5. During the last 30 minutes, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir well before serving.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
