Hi, I’m Lorena a self taught home chef who started experimenting in the kitchen over 8 years ago while raising my family here in Austin, Texas. I didn’t grow up with fancy culinary training, but I quickly learned that busy moms and professionals (like me!) need meals that are both nourishing and simple to prepare.

What began as a few meal plans scribbled on sticky notes for my family turned into a deep passion: making everyday cooking stress free and approachable. Along the way, I tested (and failed at) countless recipes, learned how to meal prep for an entire week, and finally found joy in creating dishes that fit into real life schedules.

Behind the Scenes

My son often helps me with photography and editing he’s the creative eye behind many of the recipe images you’ll see here. Cooking and capturing food together has become one of our favorite family projects.

How I Actually Do This Work

My process is messy, creative, and very real: I test recipes in small batches, adjust seasonings until they click, photograph everything under natural light in my kitchen, and share only the meals that truly make busy weeknights easier.
