Description

A comforting casserole combining ground beef, beef bacon, and cheesy goodness, perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights in.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 8 ounces of beef bacon
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 package of tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: diced pickles or mustard for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In the same skillet, add the diced beef bacon and onion, cooking until the bacon is crispy and the onion is translucent.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Layer the cooked beef and bacon mixture into a greased casserole dish. Pour the milk and egg mixture evenly over it.
  6. Top with the tater tots, followed by a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For added flavor, incorporate garlic powder or smoked paprika. Mix different cheeses for a variation in taste.
