Description

Succulent baked chicken breasts enveloped in a savory sauce for a memorable meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or non-dairy substitute)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons paprika


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Sear the chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape the bottom to deglaze the pan. After a minute, reduce the heat and add the cream.
  6. Stir in your herbs, then return the chicken to the skillet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  8. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

To enhance the dish, consider marinating the chicken beforehand and using a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness.
