Description

A vibrant blend of sweet and spicy, this Sweet Chili Chicken is a crowd-pleaser perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch Ginger (freshly grated)
  • 3 Green onions (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Sweet chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • Optional: crushed peanuts (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Start by coating chicken pieces thoroughly in cornstarch, ensuring an even layer.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Fry the chicken pieces until they are golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  5. Add in the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil, stirring to combine.
  6. Toss in the fried chicken until it’s well-coated.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with green onions and crushed peanuts.

Notes

Pair with steamed jasmine rice or a refreshing cucumber salad. For a fun twist, wrap in lettuce leaves.
