Description

A quick and vibrant beef stir fry packed with fresh vegetables and savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean beef (sirloin or flank), cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup bell peppers, mixed colors, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sesame)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all your vegetables by washing, peeling, and cutting them into uniform pieces.
  2. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain for tenderness.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef, letting it sear without stirring for a minute to develop a nice crust.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  5. Add the carrots and broccoli to the pan. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes until they start to soften.
  6. Toss in the bell peppers and green onions, cooking briefly until everything is vibrant and tender-crisp.
  7. Pour in the soy sauce mixed with cornstarch, stirring well to coat all the ingredients.
  8. Cook for another minute or two until the sauce thickens slightly. Serve immediately!

Notes

Pair with rice or noodles and consider adding sesame seeds for extra flavor.
