Description

Tender, saucy pulled chicken made in a slow cooker, perfect for gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by placing the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Add olive oil for added moisture.
  2. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper directly over the chicken.
  3. Pour the barbecue sauce evenly over the chicken, ensuring every piece is coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for about 240 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Once done, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it well with the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately or keep warm until ready to serve.

Notes

Feel free to swap out the barbecue sauce with a homemade version or a sugar-free option for a different flavor profile. For added flavor, consider adding diced onions or peppers to the crockpot.
