Description

A warm and hearty breakfast casserole that combines flaky biscuits, seasoned beef, and a fluffy egg mixture, perfect for brunch or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of refrigerated flaky biscuits
  • 1 pound ground beef (cooked and seasoned)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped vegetables (like bell peppers or spinach, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Cut the biscuits into quarters and spread them evenly across a greased baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and mustard until well combined.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the biscuits, followed by sprinkling the ground beef evenly on top.
  6. Finish with shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring even coverage.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the egg is set and the casserole is golden brown.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté onions or garlic with the ground beef. You can customize the casserole with different cheeses or add fresh herbs.
