A delightful twist on classic grilled cheese, combining gooey cheese and savory fillings wrapped in soft tortillas for a comforting dish.
Ingredients
- Large flour tortillas
- Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- Cooked beef, sautéed veggies, or beans (filling options)
- Butter or oil for grilling
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter or oil.
- Place a tortilla in the skillet, then sprinkle a generous amount of cheese on one half.
- Add your desired filling on top of the cheese.
- Fold the tortilla in half, covering the filling.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and grill the other side until the cheese is melted.
- Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
- Slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
Serve with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for dipping. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days and reheated in a skillet.
