Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes)
Instructions
- Whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss well to coat each piece evenly in the marinade.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the shrimp to a resealable plastic bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers if using.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove from the grill and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use wild-caught shrimp and avoid overcooking them to maintain tenderness.
