Description

Tender marinated grilled shrimp bursting with sweet and savory flavors, perfect for summer cookouts.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss well to coat each piece evenly in the marinade.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the shrimp to a resealable plastic bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers if using.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  7. Remove from the grill and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use wild-caught shrimp and avoid overcooking them to maintain tenderness.
