Description

A delicious and easy recipe for marinated grilled shrimp that combines vibrant flavors and juicy textures, perfect for summer barbecues or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (or lime juice)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create a marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using skewers, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers.
  4. Place the shrimp on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Remove shrimp from the grill and let them rest for a minute. Garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.

Notes

For best results, choose large or jumbo shrimp; they hold up better on the grill. You can customize the marinade with your favorite ingredients.
