Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and transfer it to a baking dish.
  4. For the glaze, mix ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl. Spread this mixture evenly over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Allow the meatloaf to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and enjoying.

Notes

For reduced carbs, substitute bread crumbs with crushed oats or ground flaxseed. Adding sautéed vegetables can enhance flavor and moisture.
