Description

Juicy chicken glazed in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, perfect for family gatherings or weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (minced)
  • Optional: sliced green onions, sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey or brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl to create the marinade. Whisk until well-blended.
  2. Add the chicken to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes. If possible, marinate for a few hours or overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated chicken, reserving the marinade for later.
  4. Cook the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet, allowing it to simmer. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until it thickens into a glaze.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the pan and check the chicken’s internal temperature, which should reach 165°F.
