Description
A rich and moist chocolate cake, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup of water
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 package of instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of whipped topping
- Chocolate syrup for drizzling
- Optional: shaved chocolate for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, eggs, and oil. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions.
- Once the cake has cooled, poke holes across the surface with a fork.
- Pour the prepared pudding over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks. Gradually add sugar to sweeten.
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer on the cake.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup on top and sprinkle with shaved chocolate, if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
