Description

A rich and moist chocolate cake, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 package of instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling
  • Optional: shaved chocolate for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, eggs, and oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. While the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions.
  5. Once the cake has cooled, poke holes across the surface with a fork.
  6. Pour the prepared pudding over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks. Gradually add sugar to sweeten.
  8. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer on the cake.
  9. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top and sprinkle with shaved chocolate, if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
