Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons freshly cracked black pepper
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced thinly
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ cup water or chicken broth
- Green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix the chicken with soy sauce and half of the black pepper. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with water or broth and remaining black pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Cook the chicken: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken pieces and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
