Description
Tender and succulent boneless pork chops served with a rich honey garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings.
Ingredients
- 15 oz (425g) center cut boneless pork chops (3 pork chops)
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon chopped Italian parsley (for garnishing)
- 2 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 3 dashes cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and ground black pepper.
- Whisk together all the ingredients for the honey sauce until well-combined.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat, add vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the pork chops in and cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and repeat on the other side.
- Push the chops to one side of the skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the empty space, and once melted, sauté the minced garlic for about 10 seconds until lightly browned.
- Pour in the honey garlic sauce and stir occasionally, allowing it to reduce to a rich amber color.
- Spoon the sauce generously over the pork chops, turn off the heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, let pork chops come to room temperature before cooking and use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
