Description

A colorful and nutritious broccoli salad with beef bacon, cheddar cheese, and a tangy dressing that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the beef bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from heat and let it cool, then crumble it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the broccoli florets, shredded carrots, chopped red onion, crumbled beef bacon, shredded cheese, and sunflower seeds.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss gently until everything is well coated.
  5. Allow the salad to sit for at least 10 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
