Description
Succulent pork chops glazed with a sweet and savory mix of brown sugar and garlic, perfect for quick dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, freshly minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in brown sugar, garlic, and chicken broth. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the glaze over them. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through until coated.
- Ensure pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve these pork chops with rice or roasted vegetables. For freshness, include a salad with citrus dressing.
