Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- If using chocolate chips, fold them in gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow it to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a sprinkle of sea salt for added flavor.
