Description

Rich and fudgy brownies that are sure to delight any chocolate lover.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
  5. If using chocolate chips, fold them in gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow it to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a sprinkle of sea salt for added flavor.
