Description

A creamy and flavorful Buttered Chicken cooked effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken tenders
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken tenders at the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, chicken broth, diced onion, minced garlic, butter, curry powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour this creamy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and set your crockpot to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once done, shred the chicken using two forks right inside the pot and stir to distribute the sauce evenly.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk. Add lemon juice before serving for brightness or spice it up with crushed red pepper flakes.
