A creamy and flavorful Buttered Chicken cooked effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken tenders
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken tenders at the bottom of your crockpot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, chicken broth, diced onion, minced garlic, butter, curry powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Pour this creamy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and set your crockpot to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once done, shred the chicken using two forks right inside the pot and stir to distribute the sauce evenly.
- Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped cilantro.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk. Add lemon juice before serving for brightness or spice it up with crushed red pepper flakes.
