Description

A delightful combination of tender chicken and robust flavors in a creamy Cajun garlic parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and juices run clear. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  4. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant, approximately 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly until warmed through. Then, add the parmesan cheese gradually while stirring until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Toss the cooked linguine into the sauce, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if necessary for consistency. Mix until fully coated.
  7. Slice the chicken and lay it over the pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, marinate the chicken in Cajun seasoning for a few hours before cooking.
