Description

A flavorful dish with caramelized chicken thighs marinated in a savory sauce, creating a delightful glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and chill for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  4. Place the marinated chicken in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Pour any leftover marinade into the pan and allow it to thicken, basting the chicken for extra flavor.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Top with green onions and sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of rice vinegar to the marinade. Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure the best caramelization.
