Description
A flavorful dish with caramelized chicken thighs marinated in a savory sauce, creating a delightful glaze.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Sliced green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for topping)
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and chill for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
- Place the marinated chicken in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Pour any leftover marinade into the pan and allow it to thicken, basting the chicken for extra flavor.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Top with green onions and sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of rice vinegar to the marinade. Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure the best caramelization.
