Description
A delightful blend of flavors with tender chicken glazed in a sweet and savory sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Green onions (sliced, for garnish)
Instructions
- Combine soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and five-spice powder in a bowl to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, saving the marinade for later use.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. If using an oven, bake at 400°F (200°C) for approximately 20 minutes.
- Simmer the reserved marinade in a saucepan over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
- Glaze the cooked chicken with the thickened marinade.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
For best flavor, refrain from skipping the marinating process. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
