Description

A comforting dish combining chicken, cheese, and broccoli with orzo pasta for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic and onion for added flavor


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add the diced chicken. Cook until browned on all sides.
  2. Stir in garlic and onion if using, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the orzo and broccoli, reducing to a simmer. Cook until the pasta is tender.
  5. Stir in the cheese until melted and evenly combined.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding spices such as paprika or Italian seasoning. Fresh spinach can also be mixed in just before serving.
