Ingredients

  • 1 cup crabmeat, drained and flaked
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package of crackers or bread slices for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crabmeat, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until fully blended.
  3. Spread the crab mixture generously onto your choice of crackers or bread slices.
  4. Arrange the canapes on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. After removing them from the oven, let them cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
