Delicious flaky pastries filled with melted cheese and garlic, perfect for brunch or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 3 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll sheets
- ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 3 cups (339 g) mild cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chives, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it generously.
- Unroll the crescent roll sheets and gently stretch them on a clean surface, sealing the perforations.
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, chopped chives, and minced garlic, then spread this mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle 2 cups of the shredded cheese onto the buttered dough, then roll it tightly from the long side, creating a log.
- Cut the rolled dough into equal pieces (about 12) and place each piece standing up in the muffin tin.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped chives, and kosher salt. Brush this mixture over the tops of the cruffins.
- Finish by sprinkling the remaining shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until they’re golden brown and flaky.
