Description

Delicious flaky pastries filled with melted cheese and garlic, perfect for brunch or as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll sheets
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 3 cups (339 g) mild cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chives, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it generously.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll sheets and gently stretch them on a clean surface, sealing the perforations.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, chopped chives, and minced garlic, then spread this mixture evenly over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle 2 cups of the shredded cheese onto the buttered dough, then roll it tightly from the long side, creating a log.
  5. Cut the rolled dough into equal pieces (about 12) and place each piece standing up in the muffin tin.
  6. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped chives, and kosher salt. Brush this mixture over the tops of the cruffins.
  7. Finish by sprinkling the remaining shredded cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until they’re golden brown and flaky.

Notes

For an elegant brunch, serve with a mixed salad or herby dips. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
