Description
A rich and creamy spaghetti dish topped with garlic and Parmesan, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces Spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, then add the spaghetti. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Prepare the garlic butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes—do not let it brown.
- Make the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir, allowing it to simmer gently for a few minutes. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth. If the sauce seems too thick, slowly add reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.
- Combine spaghetti and sauce: Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve: Plate the pasta and garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
Notes
For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Adjust seasoning to taste.
