Description

A comforting casserole made with savory ground beef, tender potatoes, and gooey cheese, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Season the beef with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a large baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the beef mixture, and then half of the cheese.
  5. Repeat the layering with the remaining potatoes, beef, and cheese.
  6. Pour the beef broth over the entire dish, ensuring the potatoes are mostly submerged.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Feel free to substitute different types of cheese or add vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini for extra nutrients.
