Description

A comforting casserole that merges ground beef and creamy cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked rice or pasta
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onions and bell peppers to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice or pasta and cream of mushroom soup. Mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and baked later.
