Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Place the seasoned chicken in a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
This dish pairs well with a side salad, garlic bread, or over pasta. Leftovers can be stored for up to three days.
