Description

A delightful blend of tender chicken and fragrant basil in a rich cream sauce, perfect for an intimate dinner or a gathering with friends.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: grated parmesan cheese for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken slices with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the chopped basil and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak in the flavors for another 5-10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with grated parmesan if desired.

Notes

For enhanced basil flavor, add some fresh basil leaves towards the end of cooking. You can substitute heavy cream for half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
