Juicy grilled chicken kofta paired with a refreshing garlic yogurt sauce, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, parsley, cumin, coriander, minced garlic, grated onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into elongated meatballs or patties, resembling kofta shapes.
- Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
- Cook the kofta for about 15-20 minutes or until they are fully cooked, turning occasionally to achieve even grilling.
- While the kofta is cooking, prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, and minced garlic together in a bowl. Season with salt to taste.
- Once cooked, remove the kofta from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use ground turkey for a leaner alternative. Adjust spices for a spicier version. Serve in pita or with a salad.
