Description

Juicy grilled chicken kofta paired with a refreshing garlic yogurt sauce, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, parsley, cumin, coriander, minced garlic, grated onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into elongated meatballs or patties, resembling kofta shapes.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the kofta for about 15-20 minutes or until they are fully cooked, turning occasionally to achieve even grilling.
  5. While the kofta is cooking, prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, and minced garlic together in a bowl. Season with salt to taste.
  6. Once cooked, remove the kofta from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ground turkey for a leaner alternative. Adjust spices for a spicier version. Serve in pita or with a salad.
