Ingredients
- 8 ounces lo mein noodles (or egg noodles)
- 1 pound chicken breast, sliced
- 2 cups mixed bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (or hoisin sauce as a substitute)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Begin by cooking the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken, seasoning with salt and pepper, and stir-fry until the chicken is fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic, onions, and mixed bell peppers. Sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Toss in the snap peas, cooked noodles, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
