Description
A vibrant and zesty dish that combines tangy chili and lime flavors, perfect for grilling or baking.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 limes (zested and juiced)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Mix lime zest, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish, ensuring the chicken is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the fridge for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your grill, skillet, or oven to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Grill or cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing to help retain the juices.
Notes
For more intense flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Experiment with different types of chili for unique flavor profiles.
