Description

A festive and flavorful jam made with cranberries and strawberries, perfect for spreading on toast or gifting during the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 1/2 pounds strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Optional: zest of one orange or 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Prep the fruits: Rinse fresh cranberries and remove stems. Slice strawberries and set aside.
  2. Combine ingredients: Add cranberries, strawberries, both sugars, and spices to the crockpot. Stir well.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, stirring halfway through.
  4. Blend: Use an immersion blender to pulse the mixture until jam-like texture is reached.
  5. Jar it up: Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars. Wipe rims and secure lids lightly.
  6. Cool & refrigerate: Let jars cool at room temperature, then refrigerate overnight before use.

Notes

Store in tightly sealed jars in the refrigerator or freeze for long-term storage. Use clean utensils to maintain freshness.
