Description

A flavorful dish featuring marinated chicken with fresh herbs and citrus, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the lime juice, chopped cilantro, garlic, olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more intense flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess liquid to drip off.
  5. Cook the chicken on the grill or in the oven for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with additional fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

For the most flavorful results, always use fresh lime juice rather than bottled. Feel free to switch up the protein or herbs as desired.
