Description

A warm and comforting baked oatmeal flavored with apple and cinnamon, perfect for chilly mornings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups fresh apples, diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup milk or a dairy-free alternative
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared dish and bake for about 40 minutes, or until golden and set in the center.
  6. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
