Description

A perfectly seasoned hamburger that’s versatile for any meal, from BBQs to family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 burger buns (brioche, whole wheat, or classic)
  • 4 cheese slices (cheddar or American)
  • 1 cup lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
  • 1 tomato (fresh, sliced)
  • 1 onion (red or white, sliced)
  • Pickles (optional)
  • Mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise (for condiments)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into patties, making a small indent in the center.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side, flip, then add cheese if desired. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  3. Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  4. Stack the cooked patties on the bottom half of the buns, followed by lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Spread condiments on the top half and close the burgers.
  5. Serve hot while everything is fresh and flavorful.

Notes

Pair with crispy sweet potato fries or coleslaw. Experiment with toppings like avocado or sautéed mushrooms for a unique twist.
