Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well incorporated.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place on a greased baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients: ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Use half of the glaze to cover the meatloaf before baking.
- Bake for 1 hour, then spread the remaining glaze over the top and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
For a leaner option, substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken. Consider adding cooked mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
