Description

A heartwarming and savory meatloaf that brings family together at the dinner table, perfect for weeknight dinners or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place on a greased baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients: ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Use half of the glaze to cover the meatloaf before baking.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, then spread the remaining glaze over the top and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

For a leaner option, substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken. Consider adding cooked mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
