Description

A heartwarming classic meatloaf that brings comfort and nostalgia with its satisfying flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Allow the meatloaf to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey or chicken; for dietary needs, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
