Description

A nostalgic and satisfying dish perfect for cozy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything until well blended.
  3. Shape the mixed ingredients into a loaf and transfer it to a baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Pour the glaze over the meatloaf, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.
  7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, consider using ground turkey or swapping out breadcrumbs for rolled oats.
