Description

A flaky crust filled with creamy textures and savory flavors, perfect for brunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Swiss)
  • 1 cup cooked beef bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish and pre-bake for about 10 minutes, until slightly golden.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  4. Stir in the cheese, beef bacon, onions, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the pre-baked crust.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and lightly golden on top.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté the onions before adding them to the egg mixture. Let the quiche rest for a few minutes after baking for easier slicing.
