Description

A rich and creamy chicken dish that pairs beautifully with various sides, perfect for weeknight meals or special gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth or stock
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in a splash of oil until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth, mixing well to combine.
  4. Stir in the shredded chicken and thyme; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld together.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Add a splash of broth when reheating for moisture.
