Description

Wake up to the delicious taste of cherry pie transformed into a nutritious bowl of overnight oats.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 cup cherries (fresh, frozen, or canned)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, coconut flakes, or more cherries


Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Add the maple syrup or honey, and a pinch of cinnamon, then stir to combine.
  3. Gently fold in the cherries, ensuring they’re mixed throughout.
  4. Divide the mixture into jars or containers, sealing them tightly.
  5. Refrigerate overnight or a minimum of 4 hours for the best results.
  6. Before serving, give them a stir and add additional toppings if you desire.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Microwave for about 30 seconds if you prefer a warm breakfast.
