Description
A comforting mix of succulent chicken, vibrant broccoli, and a zingy butter sauce served with bowtie pasta.
Ingredients
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, diced
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water, then add bowtie pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the chicken: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Add the broccoli: Incorporate the broccoli florets into the skillet with the chicken, and sauté for another 3-4 minutes, just until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
- Make the sauce: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and zest. Pour this mixture over the chicken and broccoli, stirring to coat evenly.
- Combine everything: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it all together until well mixed. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve: Serve immediately, garnishing with a sprinkle of extra lemon zest if desired.
