Description

A warm, hearty baked oatmeal dish featuring apples, perfect for a nutritious breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or your choice of milk)
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ cup yogurt or dairy-free alternative (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the oats, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. Stir in the almond milk until combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples and maple syrup if using.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is golden and set.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. This dish also freezes well in portions for up to a month.
